'UK' or 'Britain'?
The
full title of the country is 'the United Kingdom of Great Britain
and Northern Ireland':

Great Britain is made up of England, Scotland and Wales

the United Kingdom (UK) is made up of England, Scotland, Wales
and Northern Ireland
'Britain' is used informally, usually meaning the United Kingdom.
The
Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not part of the UK. The
geographical term 'British Isles' covers the UK, all of Ireland, the
Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
The
devolved government for Scotland is responsible for most of the
issues of day-to-day concern to the people of Scotland, including
health, education, justice, rural affairs, and transport.
The
Scottish Government was known as the Scottish Executive when it was
established in 1999 following the first elections to the Scottish
Parliament. The current administration was formed after elections in
May 2007.
